There’s an underestimated feeling that comes from being halfway. You’re too far down the road to see the beginning marker in the rearview, and not close enough to catch a glimpse of your final destination. You’re somewhere in the middle. Surrounded by dust and beauty and bumps, but still on track. Still going. Pursuing without knowing.
Do you ever give yourself credit for being halfway into something? A home project? A medical issue? A relationship? A dream? Do you stop to pat yourself on the back for being strong enough to withstand the endless decisions and patience it requires? Sometimes, I do. But mostly, I just sigh and tap my foot, looking around as if that will make time pass quicker.
Today though, I’m making the conscious effort to envelop myself in the halfway gift. To appreciate the hard work I’ve put into the year 2025, and to grasp at the hope these next six months have to offer. Presence. Awareness. Gratitude. Wisdom. Grace. These are my focal points for today. Tomorrow, I’ll likely check off more to-dos and breathe life into more dreams. But today, I’m embracing where I am—the questions, the concerns, the chaos of the middle and the apprehension that come with being human.
And, I’m inviting you here with me. “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9
Cheering for you,
Ciara Laine
